My dad came down to Florida to visit us about a month ago. While he was here, he was the genius behind our yard makeover. We bought this house a few months ago and we knew the front yard was going to be a big project. My dad was absolutely amazing and was able to help us turn it into something beautiful!

My dad built this gorgeous screen, and it has a little area behind it that eventually we'll make a little patio/secret garden kinda thing. We planted flowering vines at the base, so eventually they will grow up over the screen. It's going to be so pretty!

This is a bench that he built for the front porch that has planter boxes on the ends. The plants are still growing, and they're already bigger than they were in this picture from a few weeks ago. I love this bench!! I now have it covered with pumpkins!

We love our yard and amazingly I haven't killed anything! Thanks so much to my fabulous father for helping us transform our yard! We definitely owe you for the many hours of work in the hot sun and humidity!!

He did a great job! I love it! The bench is super cute! You must be lovin' it. Chris and I finally got rid of all our weeds! Yeah!! It only took us all summer and part of the fall to get it all done. I couldn't believe how much we had. Chris made about 10 trips to the dump over the course of these months. Sheesh. We still have another whole area full of weeds and crap, but we are just going to have someone come and just scrape it all up with a backhoe. We are hoping that they will be starting on our fence here pretty soon. I can't wait for that feeling of completion! After all the work we had to do chris and I agree that we have to make it a priority to get some of the landscaping done so the weeds don't come back again next summer, that would be awful! I'm glad dad was able to come out and make your yard look adorable! I wish I could come out and see you! love ya!
